DR. CINDY JOHNSON

Cindy Johnson is a farmer’s daughter from Crofton, Nebraska and has been practicing Audiology since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Arts in Audiology from Kansas University, and a doctoral degree from the University of Florida. She spent the first 17 years of her career in private practice, with five of those as the owner of Family Audiology and Hearing Care in Norfolk NE. She sold her practice to Norfolk ENT and worked there for 2 1/2 years, then spent 15 years as a pediatric Audiologist at Children’s Hospital here in Omaha.

She is wife to Marshall, mother to Sean, mother-in-law to Ellie and Grandma to precious little Ruby! In her “spare” time, Cindy grows a big garden, tries not to kill her indoor plants, and likes to golf and watch baseball. She likes to learn new things and is an avid reader of any kind of book--except horror. (The monsters under the bed are real!!)

In 2023 she thought she was ready to retire from audiology and accepted a position at her church. But she missed the “hearing smiles,” and her heart is calling her back! She will be seeing patients on Fridays at Active Hearing Health, and is the unofficial “Director of Woo” for the practice. We are thrilled to have her wealth of experience and sparkling personality on board!
